Turned rows put two long sides across the trailer: freight that overhangs the pallet may not turn, and a pattern that fits with nothing to spare loads hard in practice. Floor planning only: axle weight distribution and securement stay with the carrier.

It works when the freight sits square on the pallet: loads that overhang, and trailers with interior liners that pinch the width, force straight loading at 26.
